Kindness Children Care Center located in Kijenge Juu, Arusha, Tanzania has been supporting vulnerable children since 2009 and currently cares for 58 children, providing shelter, health support and education from nursery through university level. Like many orphanage centers, the facility faces ongoing challenges in meeting basic needs such as food and rent which can affect children’s stability and learning.
On December 16, 2025, Vision Fund Tanzania Microfinance Bank (VFT MFB) conducted an outreach visit to the center, guided by its mission to support children and families through sustainable financial services. During the visit, VFT identified critical needs affecting the children’s daily well-being and educational development.
In response, VFT Tanzania Senior Management personally organized a fundraising initiative to provide sanitary pads and essential food supplies to ensure children have access to nutritious meals. Additionally, the VFT’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program covered part of the center’s annual rent, strengthening the center’s ability to focus resources on care and education.
By combining leadership-led compassion with institutional CSR support, Vision Fund Tanzania has delivered meaningful impact improving children’s daily lives, supporting their education and reinforcing its commitment to creating a safe, nurturing environment where every child can grow and reach their full potential. The visit reaffirmed our commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and making a meaningful difference beyond banking microfinancing.
